Just blame the Cuban Trade Embargo
So if you are in the USA, you just can't get Cuban cigars. It is unfortunate but the ban is not just limited to cigars but every single thing from Cuba. Anything Cuban is not allowed and it's as simple as that. It is mind boggling how much commerce both countries are missing out on big time. You can import pre-embargo cigars but they don't even exist any more an the ones that do, go up in thousands of thousands of dollars.
If you reside in America, their are 2 ways that you can utilize to get Cuban cigars right now. So the first way is to get on the plane and go down to your neighbors up north. I'm referring to the great country they call Canada. Since the supply of Cuban cigars is controlled by Cuban certified distributors, you will always get real Cuban cigars. As long as you get them from certified distributors. Second choice is to get on google, do a search for discount Cuban cigars and go from there.
Since all online retailers reside in places outside of the USA, they can ship you the Cuban cigars. Just make sure you are dealing with a certified website retailer. Beware of the fake Cuban cigar dealers as ninety percent of them are selling fake Cuban cigars. They take cheap cigars and disguise them as Cubans simply by replacing the band on them.
Exercise proper buying habits before getting that case of Cohiba cigars. Fake Cubans are everywhere and knowledge and research is the key here. If you never smoked a real Cuban before, than you are going to be a victim of a scam website. Not always but most likely. What these people do is buy out cheap South American cigars and replace the ring bands that they purchase from ebay. Yes people collect ring bands that is why it's easy to obtain them. Plus if you travel, never get them from a cheap sidewalk store or corner store. Always deal with authorized retailers when searching for Cuban cigars. Proper research is the key and you'll be smoking real Cuban cigars in no time.
